JOTA+GE MAKES ITS DEBUT IN CHINA WITH ITS NEW SPRING-SUMMER 2011 COLLECTIONS |
|
China will play host to Jota+Ge for the first time when the fashion house presents its new collections at several of the largest fashion fairs in the Asian market.
China International Garment and Textile Fair 2010, Dalian (from 4th to 7th September 2010).
This fair has become a major platform for international brands looking to break into the Chinese market and for national brands who want to expand their operations abroad. The main content of the 2010 CIGF will consist of exhibitions, fashion shows, brand promotional activities, the launching of fashion trends and a fashion forum.
The China International Clothing and Accessories Fair in Beijing (March 2011).
This fair attracts some 900 brands from over 20 countries and Chinese provinces and is a great opportunity to gain an insight into world fashion. The exhibition centre covers a vast 1,000m2, and having made a name for itself over the past 17 years of its existence, this truly is one of Asia’s largest fashion events. China is now one of the most active and promising markets in the fashion world, so this event is one of the best platforms for both national and regional brands.
We will see them once again this year in various prestigious international fairs such as Madrid’s SIMM, Moscow’s CPM and the Ukraine’s Kyiv fair.
Forthcoming events:
SIMM – Madrid International Fashion Fair
This will take place on 2nd, 3rd and 4th September at the Ifema exhibition centre.
CPM – Collection Première Moscow
The tenth edition of CPM will take place from 6th to 9th September 2010 at Moscow’s Expocenter exhibition centre.
Designers will be presenting the new Event and Jota collections as well as new knitwear line, Mikaella Ess by J+G.
“KYIV FASHION”
Designers will be presenting their new collections at Ukrainian fashion fair Kyiv Fashion, which will take place from 14th to 17th September 2010.
The designers’ creations are sold through over 650 sales outlets in eleven countries, including Spain (where it has over 500 sales outlets), Portugal, France, Ireland, Belgium, Holland, Luxemburg and Lebanon. The company also has 3 of its own stores in Madrid, Bilbao and Pamplona, as well as an outlet at Fashion Outlet in Baracaldo.
“The time has come for us to take on new challenges with new markets, and we hope to see JOTA+GE expand into Arab countries in the near future”.

New Collection Jota + Ge AW10/11 |
|
JOTA + GE presents an Autumn Winter 2010-2011 Collection charged with fantasy, with MUSIC as its inspiration, in which sounds and silences bring harmony to the new Fashions.
The collection’s most urban line, JOTA + GE, proposes three movements with comfort and details as the key notes.
Jersey knit, the quality highlight of this line, with the accompaniment of drapes, pleats and fabric mixes, gives the garments a special touch. Dark brandy and bison are combined with touches of rose, mauve and purple in dresses, jackets and coats.
Wool jacquard in an exclusive huge flower design, the firm’s hallmark, is used with fringes and different tones of snake and leopard prints in blazers and quilted anoraks. Technical fabrics in combination with jersey knit to soften the contrast.
The light-hearted touch comes from the retro micro print in which reds and three-colour combinations stand out in mixes of concepts and qualities. Wrinkled leather, stripes, prints with a variety of decorative accessories appear in twin-sets, dresses and jumpers.

For those special moments, in its EVENT collection, the firm presents a series of surprises: sequins, spots, flounces, pleats, drapes, crêpe, gauze, satin, etc.
Jersey knit appears in the evening wear collection providing comfort amongst the glamour, in this season’s fashionable pink, grey, dark blue, black, mauve and red colours.
Drapes, bunching, rounded and asymmetric lines stand out in a collection designed to shine.

JOTA + GE JEANS offers four movements full of design in fabric and colour mixes.
With an exclusive design representing the Opera, ochres, browns and brandy colours appear in twill weaves, jacquard and speckled jersey knit and embossed leather. Fantasy in laminated jeans, short and long jackets …, converting this line into the brand’s most casual range, casual wear with a unique rhythm.
Another movement in greys, greens and mauves that blend together in a patte

COQUETTE by J+G, DESIGNER FASHION from size 46 to 56 |
|
A size 46 does not mean that you can’t feel feminine, coquettish and well-groomed. The Basque designers, Juana Ruiz and Garbiñe Urdampilleta, transmit this conviction with COQUETTE by J+G, the new fuller figure project launched through the firm JOTA + GE, which will be available with their spring-summer 2010 collection.
Adopting the same philosophy as JOTA + GE, Coquette offers a colourful, youthful and different product, with exclusive patterns and a well cared for finish.
The collection, adopting the three JOTA + GE lines (Jota + Ge, Jota + Ge Jeans and Jota + Ge Event), includes different urban and casual styles for women, in which you will always feel chic, fashionable and confident.

Available in our own shops and through multi-brand channels, the Coquette by J+G collection will be available in sizes 46 to 56.

JOTA + GE refreshes its corporate identity |
|
After years of continual growth JOTA + GE decides to refresh its image and create a renewed identity which accompanies a brand in motion and constant evolution.
The new identity has been created from the very graphics of the designers’ names and in this the symbol + has been incorporated, alluding to the union between the two creators of the company: Juana Ruíz y Garbiñe Urdampilleta, who affirm that the new image chosen to communicate the brand “maintains its essence of Petite Atelier and boosts its values: exclusivity, difference...”
This change also aims to give more emphasis to the colourful side of JOTA + GE, and to achieve this they have strengthened their Colour Stripes, which represent the element of colour always present in the collections of the brand.
Also in this renovation the JOTA + GE Chair takes centre stage, which, as the designers explain, “combines the baroque and modernist spirit of the brand”
